Seeds-2-Supper Garden
In partnership with the Badger Prairie Community Garden, BPNN manages a large garden plot to increase the availability of fresh organic produce at our food pantry.
Volunteers help prepare the raise beds, sow seeds and starter plants, weed and harvest. Tools are on site and water is readily available to each plot. To volunteer at the garden, contact our garden Coordinator, at bpnn.garden@gmail.com. You may also sign up here. |
Program PartnersBadger Prairie Community Garden: Badger Prairie is the only community garden in Dane County located in a county park. Under it’s agreement with the County, the garden provides 2 plots for food pantry use.
Jung’s Seed Company: Jung’s Seed Company is providing seeds for our Seeds-2-Supper gardens as well as corporate sponsorship and marketing support for BPNN’s Plant a Row for the Hungry campaign this spring. The nationwide Plant a Row promotion encourages gardeners to plant an extra row in their home gardens and donate the harvest to a local food pantry. |
